About The Training

Radical Social Work practice emerged in the 1970’s as an approach developed by Social Workers to address the poverty and inequality that contributed to the problems their service-users were experiencing through social and political action.

Through this training, participants will begin to understand the framework of radical social work, critique barriers that impede addressing the root causes of service-users challenges within the social work field, and reimagine their own role in creating a more socially just society for all.

This training activates mental health providers to take action beyond the individual therapeutic relationship and advocate for structural changes that directly impact their service-users.
